Jangly maximalist pop-rock with catchy melodies and whimsical vocals. Generally fast moving songs with buzzy guitars yet chilled out whispered reverb soaked vocals. Layers of guitars, keys, drum machines, hand claps melodicas, glockenspiels, and whatever multi-instrumentalist Scott Reitherman could add to the mix. Fuller then their debut, the album is sunny and bright with the occasionally grabby hook. A perfect summer day by the pool album, it’s definitely worth the dive to check out. ** IMPORTANT to note that all songs have about at least 6-10 seconds of silence at the end. FCC: CLEAN, PICKS: 5,1, 4
1. Slow build up but becomes energetic with a fun dancy melody.
2. Accoustic guitar, electric organ, tribal beat and sweet vocal harmonizing
3. Very epic big band sounding, more piano focused, excellent track with more somber tones
4. Catchy buzzy electric guitar line, simpler drum kit, beautiful whispered/semi-sung vocals, fast moving pop
5. Cheery, very summery, catchy chorus, uplifting
6. Synthy, darker toned, distorted vocals, chanted chorus
7. Upbeat, trumpet, plenty of handclapping, and falsetto
8. Catchy synth line, reminds me of 80s pop
9. Goofy and jangly, guitar and synth lines weave in and out. He rocks out here the most. Solid track
10. Acoustic guitar anthem, very Band of Horses-like
11. About 6 seconds of intro silence. Slower paced somber track, very iron and wine-ish. Like a slow train ride through the winter snow, beautiful.
12. 15 second ambient/naturish noise intro, very catchy chorus that takes awhile to get to. The multitude of instruments that come in and out give it that big band sound
