Marmoset/ Tea Tornado

Indie Midwestern take on British post-punk and psychedelic pop. Abrasive yet catchy sound with tightly composed songs, this band definitely has a different sound. Using everything from synths to dark, grunge electric guitar, and haunting, echoing vocals, and simple yet effective drumbeats. This band is similar to June Panic, The Impossible Shapes, Foreign Born. Kind of like new-wave Nirvana mixed with indie pop on some darker tracks, and kind of surf-rock with a darker twist and experimental vocal additions. Try 5, 8, 12, 13

1. **Fun acoustic guitar and catchy beat 2.** “strummy” electric guitar, vocals melancholy yet pleasant 3. ***catchy with dark steady bass, over funky, psychedlic lyrics, nice guitar solo towards end 4. darker, acoustic psychedlic, with shouting and heavy grunge electric guitar-freak folk? 5. ****catchy opening beat, nice guitar riff and cool, dark lyrics 6. blended vocals over stark acoustic guitar and simple drumbeat 7. **faster, darker beat and guitar riffs-almost grunge surf rock vibes, haunting sound 8. ****nice very catchy opening, fun synth melody in backdrop, lighter vocals 9. **cool electric guitar and “protest-y” lyrics 10. simple low vocals over similarly dark guitar, slower track 11. nice drumbeat, guitar and weird noises mixed with stark, spoken vocals 12. ***dark lyrics, definitely lower tones and more experimental vocals 13. ****lighter track, catchy guitar lighter almost whimsical vocals in fluctuating minor key 14. dark, slower, simple guitar and drums strange, lighter yet haunting vocals, definite experimentation in background “techno” sounds
