Trippy and awesome “Nautik(al) Funeral Doom Metal” from Germany. Plenty of slow crushing riffs but mixed almost equally with melancholic clean guitars amidst the growling and (new for this band) sullen clean vocals. Really solid stuff from beginning to end that wisely mix “pretty”, softer sounds with the heavy/extreme end. Similar to early My Dying Bride, Asunder, Disembowlement & Esoteric (UK).
(((((((1))))))) Slow and enveloping with verrry doomed & growled vocals. Kinda slo-mo psych chords punctuated by distorted and a bit of nicely placed clean vocals.
(((((((2)))))))) KILLER opening riff. Super heavy & doom as fukk! Very lo-vocals ‘ala Disembowlement or even Coffins. Mellow part around the 3:00 mark with clean vocals then back again.
(((((((3))))))) Monster of a funeral Doom track with big resonating riffs, some psych. Plus, despondent lyrics: “In porrrrts of dooooom we lay/so I yield to my despair.”
((((((((4))))))) Really pretty sounding tone, clean vocals in the 1st half. Drifts off into their own watery, fog-filled oblivion.
((((((5))))) Straight up 90’s Death/Doom with a strong influence from Disembowlement. Really good drum sound.
(((((((6))))))) Bookend type track to #4. Though even slower. Gets more epic and My Dying Bride-ish after 2:30. Lots of well-done pinch harmonics and resonating chords.
((((((((7))))))) Slow, dark psych chords, airy clean vocals, then more heavy-as-a-Humpback whale section and more sullen clean vocals.
