The Raveonettes/ In and Out Of Control

Indie upbeat rock with a slightly alternative pop vibe. Nice vocal harmonies coupled with hard-edged electric guitar overlaid with liberal doses of noise. Their songs juxtapose the structural and chordal simplicity of 50s and 60s rock with intense electric instrumentation, driving beats, and often dark lyrical content. Similar to The Jesus and Mary Chain, and influences include The Velvet Underground and The Everly Brothers. NOT FCC CLEAN. Try 1, 2, 3, 9,11

1.** Catchy melody and lyrics upbeat pop style. 2.* Slow 30 second quiet intro, picks up to medium speed, nice guitar, catchy lyrics 3.** Light, twinkling electronic intro, whimsical, sad lyrics catchy beat and chorus 4. FCC heavy wave of electronic sound, screeching guitar 11. * slower, hypnotic melodies and vocals drops off at end-silence for a while
