Slaraffenland/We’re on Your Side

Indie post-rock, experimental pop, jazz from Denmark! They have a cool mix of jazz, experimental rock, alternative, noise, and vocals. “Slaraffenland” is Scandinavian for “land of milk and honey,” but this band is more diverse than that. Chanty vocals, over very interesting beats, and improvisational free-forms. Down-beat art-rock with saxophone and some woodwind like sounds. A tough, yet hopeful sound with diverse influences. Sounds like upbeat Under Byen or Efterklang mixed with Fleet Foxes, or Air plus Folk-Rock? Very unique sound! FCC CLEAN! Try 3, 5, 6, 7, 8, 10

1. cool beat formed with blended yet crisp electric guitar and nice vocals, horns? 2. drifting guitar over horns and dreamy sounds that transitions to thumping bass and group vocals 3. ***nice clean acoustic riffs over horns and lower range flute later on 4. Horns and jingling noise to lower vocals and almost arrhythmic drumbeat and experimental percussion ending 5. ****Cool guitar, synth, horns/flutes opening dreamy yet driven and catchy with more charming vocals-awesome track! 6. ***upbeat and faster paced drums over clean guitar and horns/woodwinds, nice mix of percussion, noise, and experimentation over a catchy base 7. ** slower drone-dream intro layered with pluck-y acoustic and folk-like vocals, horns and experiments 8. ***more drum-driven, flutes, abrupt yet catchy vocals, horns, guitar and percussive variance 9. dream synth with jazzy horns and light drone backdrop almost oriental synth melody 10. ***hand claps, darker sounding vocals, tambourine into cool synth, guitar, percussion blend, horns, ends with nice jazzy elements and grows more hopeful while retaining an experimental vibe.
