Modern Doom/Death Metal from Chicago. Granted vocalist Paul Kuhr often sounds like from Nathan Explosion of Dethklok crossed with Aaron from My Dying Bride. However, he does have something of his own. His range is expressed best on tracks #2, #3. The drums are a tad too “canned” in places overall there guitar and songwriting is quite good. Mixing a bit of mid-period Amorphis minus the Finnish mythos and My Dying Bride without the weepy bits along with some very traditional Heavy Metal solos.

((((1)))) Mid-paced, sloggin’ but catchy riff, multiple vocals near the end. Good tone.
((((2)))) Shifts, odd-metered, somewhat akward melodic vocals but generally well-played especially the very death/doom parts around -:1:45.
((((3)))) Nice thunderous opening riff, trudgiing through with dual vocals. Good melodic part @ 2:09.
((4)) Clean mellow vocals, mellow ballad, sounds like Opeth at their most “chill”.
((5)) Forced, bludgeoning of Death/Modern Extreme Metal. Nothing special and really overcompensating here.
((((6)))) Straight-up melodic Death/Doom right down to the simple descending chords. Pretty good and steady with their usual balance of growling and clean vocals and judding riffs.
(((7))) Triumpherant charging ‘ala Amon Amarth with guttural but understandable vox, sputtering drumming. Pretty good change of pace though a little stagnant in places.
((8)) Mellow, sad, Opeth-y ballad, kinda dull.
