KILLER new one from the Norwegian Black/Heavy Metal Legends (not a term to be used lightly). Horgh & Abbath are joined by Apollyon on bass (from Aura Noir, Dødheimsgard & Gorgoroth). A great mix of their usual Nordic Grimness, Thrash, and Traditional Heavy Metal. Plenty of songs about the cold, darkness and war - Immortal are still larger than life and still "stronger than ice, stronger than stone!”

(((((1)))))) Slow intro into thrashy Blackish Heavy Metal. Abbath’s trademark growl and Horgh’s battery of drums. Killer sharp riffing and some nice bass underneath as well as some flanger.
((((((2))))))) AWESOME opening riff with some well-done pinch harmonics. Steady beat and interesting chord changes and tones. A real headbanger!
((((((3)))))) Classic Immortal Blackend-Thrash banger with Horgh’s “rrrrorrrroraoorr”-ing. Similar to “Blood Fire Death”-era Bathory.
((((((4)))))) Slow, anticipatory intro, then giant riffs straight from the tundras of Blashyrk, steady bass/beats and more coldness, frost and a fantastic solo by Abbath.
(((((5))))) Another big wall of riffs, mid-paced, bangin’ and monsterous. Really cool chord changes, pick slides, more ice & Bathory-like divebombers.
((((((6)))))) Cold winds then bass and riffs big enough to conquer a yeti. Love the emphasis on certain syllables that Abbath uses here. Catchy chorus. Rather good drumming from Mr. Horgh(agen), too.
((((((7)))))) Dark ambient intro, invoking endless frost, steady slowish epic riffs into faster jagged tempo. 5:12-5:27 incredible guitar harmonics. Weirdly similar to a combo of Judas Priest and later-era Bathory.
