Indo American Blues fusion. She is a London based Ghazal singer (she sings mostly in Urdu) he a veteran of Captain Beefhart/Jeff Buckley guitarist. Can not go wrong on any track for a GREAT pairing of talents. 1: 3:49 mid tempo strummed folk guitar, tabla and very nice female vocal 2: 3:41 a bit slower, mellow, more almost scat style singing, very good sound, blues/slide guitar 3: 3:04 mid tempo, mellow wailing vocal ****4: 3:59 fast vocal wailings, cool rock fusion guitar ***5: 7:59 slow vocal wailings, guitar noodling/drone, Very cool sound ***6: 5:57 cover of Skip James's "Special Rider Blues" very nice slow picking with mellow vocal wailing 7: 3:25 mid to fast vocal wailings & folk guitar picking, fast tabla plus violin 8: 5:43 slow wailing vocal, Indian drone intro, @ 1:30 tabla & guitar pick up the tempo ***9: 5:56 mostly Indian, mid to fast vocal wailings, fast fast tabla, violin, scat style vocals 10: 4:30 mid fast vocal wailings, tabla, blues/ rock infused guitar 11: 5:01 mid tempo blues/folk guitar with pounding tabla, vocal wailings D Farrell 11/2009 | ||
