Imaad Wasif/ The Voidist

Psychedelic folk rock? with heavy electric guitar chords some acoustic guitar. some lyrics a little “emo” per se for me…. switches from heavier, dark rock sounds to pretty passages with a folk-rock influence. Wasif worked in collaboration with Karen O on the Where the Wild Things Are soundtrack. Some of these sound vaguely like later Led Zeppelin… maybe. No FCC’s detected… Try 4, 6, 9, 10

1. folk with heavy chords, slow and dramatic 2. more of a dreamy sound to vocals, but same heavy “rock” backing, pretty acoustic interlude, no tempo change 3. acoustic beginning, slow, emotional electric rock ballad 4. ** pretty acoustics nice vocals 5. slower track, heavy electric guitar, mellows out at end 6. * slower, dark interesting explosions of acoustic guitar, to shakers and trembling voices 7. pretty acoustic opening, sounds more folk-y/country 8. upbeat almost country-esque track 9. *acoustic, with soft grungy guitar overlays at times, pretty track 10. *slow rock, brooding, lightens up at middle, classic rock influence
