APERIODIC: Air Below Mountains / Louder
Generate, 2009
EXPERIMENTAL – Ben Perkins on bass, Kevin Parrett on guitar and Matt Schulz doubling on piano & drums. Two short pieces on 33rpm 7” vinyl.

Side A. 5:30 – Noise drone, muddy apocalyptic bass fuzz, alien guitar twang loops and scratchy percussion. Orbits a high tone for a while, then chatters like chewing termites magnified a million times. Then it gets weird. There’s a prepared piano in the back, too.
Side B. 5:45 – Very quiet drums, atmospheric processed guitar drifts in and out; starts to pick up after about 2:30; free-jazz acoustic bass. Blows up after 3:30 into a moaning psychedelic mass; deflates, returns, deflates again.
