(this is a digital transfer from a vinyl submission) Ambarchi is a true master of the beautiful artful drone, ambient hypnoscape. While “noise” and “experimental” seems to have grown logarithmically in the last decade few artists seem to truly “get it”, or at least meld the sources into a visceral experience. Ambarchi is one (see also Koji Asano, Makoto Kawabata). Don’t miss this.
1) looping ambient synth, Eno’esque, crunchy bad vinyl sounds, truly beautiful. Then: with 3 min left it shifts entirely to a droning beautiful organ synth…. Wow!!
2) almost an eastern flare to this, submerged voices, all over trippiness, slow and sparse and worthy of meditation
