4 DOOM METAL bands from Philly, Nashville (!), Spain & Australia. Each doing 1 epic track each. 3 of the 4 in Death/Doom range and Orthodox being the odd one out with something more minimal and not quite Metal (though they do play it more often than not). Really Heavy Doom that’s uneasy listening. Rather good release by Blake Judd of Nachmystium’s label.

((((((1)))))) Harsh, tortured growling vocal trudge, lots of slow resonating notes. Pretty crushing stuff.
(((((2)))))) Excellent super depressive doom with some passages that mix the modern style of Skepticism and Therogothon to Really cool military drums around 8:30.
((((3)))) Trippy ‘lil number, that’s verrry minimal and sprase with slow vocals. Not too far from Om but a bit jazzier & quieter or even a stretched out Melvins song in the later part.
((((((((4))))))) Back to the regular DOOM programming. Classic 90’s style Death/Doom ‘ala Skepticism, Evoken, Paramecium with elongated and slow & nearly choral vocals.
