Very big sounding metallic hardcore/proper “metal-core” from the Boston area. Long running band that’s been putting out records since the early 90s. At times it gets a little samey & a lot of the songs run together but it’s pretty through in terms of what their capable of. Recently they’ve been on the undercard for that novelty shit called Dethklok.

(((((1))))) Wild mix of fast modern hardcore, d-beat, hoarse shouted vocals, bass and an interesting twists & turns.
((((2)))) Feedback, hurried pace, nice break with military drums and a wailing classic 80’s Metal solo.
((((3)))) Bursts right out and gets very destructive. A little too bludgeoning in places, though.
(((4))) Fast to mid-paced but too much like the earlier songs. Some neat guitar work though.
((((5)))) Slow & twangy, totally distorted vocals and crazy fretboard slashing. Not too far from an even more bombastic Unsane.
(((6))) Fast bassy & vocal-centered. Not too big on the clunky beat along with the generic stop-starts. The backing vox are really good though.
(((((7))))) Bassy, tons of harmonics, distorted to fuck vocals and a bit of oddly VoiVod styled guitars & some chunky riffs.
(((8))) Straight hard rock/punky riffage, "don’tknowthatfuckhe’ssinging" vocals. Slightly gallopy, messy & modern thrashy but not Thrash Metal.
(((9))) First half is mid-paced noise rawk & rather good but then they spaz out too much with the metallic hardcore stuff. ½ good, ½ meh.
(((10))) Modern thrashy, distro-metallic hardcore, good bass work but the vocals reek of Lamb of God through a mincer.
((((11)))) Bassy, pummeling, roaring but oddly rockin’ with the fairly clean vocals. They REALLY need to do more songs like this and kill off the distorted growly bits that they rely on so much.
(((((12)))) Nice, smoky acoustic slow burner into apocalyptic doomy rawk/Metal. Great vox by Steve Von Till of Neurosis. Out of place but still very well done.
((((13)))) Guitar harmonics, slow hazy pop ‘ala M83 (sans the massive keyboard washes) with some very nice vocals from Genghis Tron’s Mookie Singerman. Again out of place but a really good song. rd
