Olof Arnalds/ Vio og Vio Icelandic singer, Mum’s collaborator for many years. Can play guitar, charanga and viola and sing her own lyrics. Beautiful clear voice. Soothing and plain gorgeous. I don’t think there were any tracks that I didn’t like… Produced by Kjartan Sveinsson of Sigur Ros. FCC Clean (Icelandic) Try: 4, 5, 6, 8, 10 1. acoustically simple with sweet, clear voice, very charming 2. Slower, deeper chords, same strikingly beautiful voice. 3. lighter mid-tempo sounds like ukelele? higher tonal range, beautiful voice dynamics here 4. more laid-back acoustic guitar ramblings, happy without being irritatingly or overtly so 5. plain vocal beginning, mixes in with light string instrumentation, slower and brings in other horns 6. more pronounced guitar presence, contemplative and charming, piano 7. plucky string melody minimal other sound but voice and light string plucks 8. slower, more of a minor key, beautiful and mournful in a way 9. similar string instrumentation as previous song, also contemplative, slower 10. quicker plucking sounds like flowing water, light and bubbly string work. | ||
