Spoon/ Transference
Indie Rock. Spoon takes on a new sound for a destabilizing effect. beware some tracks drop off mid syllable. More pensive tracks, lots of confusion, distortion, dizzy, experimental sounds. Might seem sloppy at first, but I think Spoon crafted this album to create a scattered sound to emulate the album name.
FCC Clean! Try: 3, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 11
1. dry-sounding acoustic guitar strums, slower tempo, synths, “ooh’s” 2. nice, weird electronic smashing bass drum, tight, quick electric guitar strums, awkwardly catchy 3. ** catchy, upbeat, cool experimental sounds, nice consistent bass 4. slow, groovy beat, sparse synths, low-key vocals with shakey synth 5. *** catchy- piano intro, slamming 7ths and jazzy chords mixed with thumping rocking bass and electric guitar nice guitar sequence middle-to-end 6. ***rock-beat, catchy, electric, lots of cymbals, surf-esque guitar at points, but very minimal, great slower jazzy piano starts middle with driving beat underneath and experimental noises cool morphing guitar then fades out at end 7. ***upbeat, energetic track! fun, catchy chorus 8. **pretty piano chord progressions and vocals whole time, pretty lullaby type 9. *** catchy, yet mellow and cool with scratchy electric guitars, dreamy synth bed, solid track 10. faster, darker, cool electric guitar riffs, jazzy piano accents in background, tambourine 11. ***dance-beat, groovy bass, with semi-angsty “nobody gets me” vocals. nice. mellow guitar crazy up and down piano mashing. cool percussion, whirring noises,
