Eels/ End Times

pretty low-key melancholic acoustic rock. Band formed by singer/songwriter Mark Oliver Everett. break-up album, following his divorce. this is a break-up album. I repeat. warning: a little bit cheesy. FCC on 2, 9, 13, 14 Try: 7, 11

1. melancholy vocals over acoustic guitar 2. shakers, upbeat, electric guitar, FCC “SHIT, FUCK” 3. wallowing in self pity, with backing music 4. mid-tempo acoustic with la-la’s 5. piano chords, hoarse voice, turns into a ballad type song 6. album-titled track, low guitar, raw vocals, cheesy, too much wallowing for my taste. 7. ***short track, acoustic guitar, with spoken word 8. upbeat, country-type beat, hoarse vox meh. 9.FCC “shit” acoustic guitar, harmonica, strings, 10. upbeat, surf-rock-esque guitar, tambourine, calls his lover crazy 11.***muffly noises at beginning, phone noises, rain, bells, footsteps, thunder, knock on door 12. piano, echoing vocals, 13. pretty opening, FCC? “goddamn?” 14. “on my feet,” for a break up album. ‘nuff said, yes? FCC “Shit”
