Title Tracks “It Was Easy”: Pleasant, energetic power pop a la New Pornographers & Ted Leo. Hard not to like, but I suppose there’s nothing ground breaking here. Title Tracks is the solo project of John Davis (Q and Not U, George James) who plays nearly all of the instruments on the record. Tracyanne Campbell of Camera Obscura jumps in on #2 & 6. Most tracks run less than 3 minutes.
FCC #11; Start with 6, 7 4, 1, 10 basil

1) **Peppy song starts the record. Packs a lot of punch with mostly just vox & drums.
2) Steady paced and pleasant pop/skank. Nice guest sax work + guest vox from Campbell.
3) 1950s commercial ditty. Even if it's "deceptively" upbeat, it's pretty annoying
4) **Song has some nice-tempo changes and break-downs + strong percussion.
5) *Hello Ted Leo! Bring on the sunshine, hand clapping and high-pitched peppy vox!
6) *** Springsteen track reinterpreted as a keyboard lullaby duet with Camera Obscura’s Campbell.
7) ** Vox elegantly cram syllables into energetic, streamlined guitar & drumming
8) Early Beatles quasi-peppy break up song w/o the nostalgic charm
9) Soft, subtle song. Bon Iver knocks the same recipe out of the park but w/ better vox.
10) ** Fast-paced track with driving guitar, hand-claps & sounds like…it is! Maracas!
11) * Chipper cover of The Byrds’ song – audibly says shit in the last 5 seconds
