Boxharp are a UK electronic duo, singer Wendy Allen and producer Scott Solter. Solter has worked with Mike Patton, Superchunk, and St. Vincent. Allen’s lilting, ethereal vocals make you believe she’s a fairy, elf, or some other supernatural creature. Loam Arcane is a 4-song EP, with a discordant electro-folk-pop first half and a spaced-out, abstract 2nd half that BLISS-centric DJs will dig. These songs would make a great contribution to the soundtrack for a future Lord of The Rings or Avatar installment - take that for what it’s worth.

1.* 3:47 midtempo drum-n-bass/breaks. Stanford choral ensemble-esque vocals, fast modulations yet precise, over discordant yet beautiful melodies.

2. 3:18 slower than #1, more conventionally pleasant, with much less percussion. More choral vocals, backed by choral noodling. Basic, piano-based melody.

3.** 3:27 haunting, string- and synth-based melody with light scuffing percussion in the background. vocals are beautiful.

4.** 5:43 instrumental. most blissful track on the EP. long, pleasant string and synth chords with light, interesting percussion - scraping and water drops. aims to be epic, good soundtrack for trekking across vast stretches of grassland or forest. warning- last 0:30 is almost silent.
