Joan Jett and the Blackhearts/College Sampler
A quintessential rock chick with great vocals and guitar skills, Joan Jett showcases her older hits with the Runaways and the Black Hearts. A good collection of songs with some that stand out more than others.
Worth playing to support a woman who has broken the male-centric rock mold and had a successful and long career by putting out records on her own, sans-labels. Sounds like: The Pretenders, The Runaways, Joan Jett (haha).
Try: #1, 4, 8. FCC on #1.

1.Rebel love anthem, hard driving. FCC – f*&%.
2. Classic rock guitar, teen angst.
3. Anthemic stadium rock song.
*4.* The ultimate girl rock anthem, never goes out of style.
5. Snarling, bluesy jukebox rock.
6. Muffled garage band sound, sing-a-long chorus.
7. Decent cover of 60s classic – minus the whoozy feeling.
8. Sexy and smoky departure while remaining up-tempo rock, chorus sounds more Jett-like, but sung in
French.
9. Another bluesy rock song, fun & boppy.
