Album Review
Your Imaginary Friend

Bordering on Outsider Music, this is a strange record. Otherwise pop songs, but mired in low fi sludge and obtuse topics and presentation. Fucked up shit, taking King Missle, Bunny Brains, Daniel Johnston into the next millennia or something.

A:
1) strange upbeat low fi poppy, slightly 60’s retro psych, about Christmas, organ drum bass guitar and understated vocs 2) strange pop, dark weirdness 3) FCCs- titties 4) child’s voiceover with weird old casio sounding electronics, disturbing 5) folky psyche ballady 6) FCCs “I want to fuck Tina Louise on the backlot of Gilligans Isle and Mary Anne could make it three”, a safe harbor MUST 7) FCC (bullshit) 8) FCCs, sick shit

B:
1) retro pop feel, twisted, swingy 2) silly electropop feel, king missle feel 3) brief weird noise 4) silly upbeat, voiceover about acid, 70’s type drug abuse 5) upbeat fast paced with electro beat blues/country 12 bar swamp 6) brief ambient noise 7) FCCs silly electro pop fun contrasted with Vietnam themed spoken word, a must for safe harbor 8) cheesy silly electro pop 9) dark and disturbing “I don’t want to go home tonight” 10) eclectro beat, casio silly feel, “jim Morrison is dead”, thank god
