KZSU bliss out noise rock faves ambush us with a 4 song release. All songs short, relative to their other stuff that is, radio friendly and more along the lines of dreamy nois rock than noise-dream scapes (though that’s there too). RIYL the usual suspects (MBV, FSA, LSD, Bowery Electric…). Great shit, all instrumental of course. If you cut a hole in Brick’s skull this is the sound that escapes. 1) slow droney rhythmic fade-in that builds 2) guitar melodies, FSA’ish then heavy noise plod, like MBV on Quaaludes 3) heavy bliss-out noise plod-rock ratcheted up a notch 4) hypno pulsing, orangeasm bliss out blissful blissness, evil swirling | ||
