wow. flip out. soul jazz, beats, dubby, brilliant interludes, swells, sexy. lotus. fat beats with the intelligent flair of john coltrane's bloodlines showing up with ravi coltrane on sax, and this madman called thundercat laying down fantastic basslines. textural mastery. killer bedroom music, futurejazz & wonkybeats & breaks & ping pong!? fantastic driving music. more of a dancefloor than chill room feeling on this album. as good as electronic music gets. infusions of mingus, trane, sun ra in the bass lines and melody lines. not a lame track.
