Album Review

Well done rock & indie pop without much pretense or swagger, mostly easygoing, midtempo, happy sounding despite the downer track names & themes. Guitar bass drums, some piano and synth. FCC clean.

+1.Midtempo rock. Worried LA dad song
+2. Happy drug song, even if the lyrics are anti-drug
3. Happy life affirming alt-rock.
4.Too whiney, not so good 80s excess
+5. Mid-slow singer-songwriter alt-country, lazy campfire lament. “Please don’t take my dreams”
6.midtempo love song. Competent but it doesn’t grab me. “If you were to die tomorrow I’d love you for the rest of my life.”
+7.Fun indie rock, mid-tempo. “I’m untouchable… but you can touch me”
8.Love song, self depreciating but happy with you
+9.Dreamy 80’s sound. Piano and no guitar so it’s not rock, more like U2 :-p
10.starts bird sounds, gentle synth, then guitars. Simple mid-slow (with tambourine keeping the beat) filler song
+11.Semi-tropical sound. No it’s not about sex, it’s a theatrical imagined death scene, with mariachi horns, to drag out a relationship.
