Transmit - Vol 2 of The Music of Steve Lacy.

Ideal Bread is 4 member modern jazz band consisting of Josh Sinton on baritone sax,Kirk Knuffke on trumpet,Reuben Redding on bass & Tomas Fujiwara on drums. The band is known for itsimprovisational skills & that is reflected in this album. Steve Lacy was a well-known soprano sax player,
whose music is the basis for this album.

Try 1, 2, 3, 5, 7.

1. Starts off with a nice baritone sound. Highlights the band’s
improvisation skills.
2. Starts off on a nice up-beat note & then slows down a
bit in the middle & ends on a high note.
3.The vocals are a bit distracting & almost jarring that takes
away from the music. Nice improvisation between the sax,
trumpet & the drums. Showcases Fujiwara’s skills on the drums.
4. Starts slow & kind of maintains that tempo.
5 Slow start slow & picks up the tempo & has a nice swing to it.
6. Slow & mellow piece.
7. Starts bright & upbeat & stays that way.
