Bright, breathtaking synth rock from Sweden. Wispy sun-bleached pop melodies that curl their tendrils around you and envelop you in fantasies of bottling up precious childhood summers so that they will never escape your memories. Ever. Once upon a time… FCC CLEAN |
1. Slow, dramatic intro with royal horns, extended synth notes and echoing drums. After about a minute and a half, mammoth grinding synth lines enter the mix. A dramatic opening track.
*2. Bird noises, lots of spoken word about the joys of spring. The track centers around a crisp synthesizer rhythm that starts out muted, but is eventually released into its full glory. Soft soothing vocals. Light and airy.
*3. A slow, spoken word track loops louder and louder, until it explodes into a bright shimmery, pop melody. “Sort of like a dream, isn’t it?” “No. Better.”
4. Optimistic pop ditty. Gentle pipes fast African drumbeats, smooth legato orchestra arrangements and bits of spoken word.
5. An enchanting electronic intro draws you down the rabbit hole into a world of gentle keyboards, skittering guitar loops, complex percussive loops, echoing whistles, and ambient washes.
*6. Bird noises and the sound of horses neighing open up this track, then lead to crashing drumrolls and finally a climax of cool synth…ever so weightless. Like waking up from a dream and struggling to realize where you are. Gorgeous.
