After starting out in Vancouver and releasing a couple of albums with a playful mess of instruments and ideas, Shapes And Sizes returns with their third album, Candle To Your Eyes. The band has toured with The National & Yeasayer, moved to Montreal and now presents 8 songs that sound more mature and cohesive. Still playful and experimental, but with more structure.
FCC: Clean
Try: 4, 5, 7

1) Falsetto female vocals on a backdrop of playful guitars and piano. Sounds like Menomena
2) Distorted vocal harmonies and guitars drenched in reverb
3) High tempo, dramatic, plenty of vocal effects
4) * Slow and groovy with subtle bass work. More falsetto vocals.
5) * Retro vibes and bass + perc. breakdown
6) Male vocals, somewhat haunted vibe. Nice harmonies in inter-lude halfway through.
7) * Very Raveonettes with cool retro vibes and half tempo breakdowns.
8) Dark, minimalistic. More tension, builds towards a climax
9) Exotic, groovy percussion. Impressive vocals and lots of tension in the second half of the track
