Classic indie pop-rock with folk/country flavorings. Launches from a Neil Young and Cat Stevens background to land quite close to Spoon and a couple other middle-of-the-genre indie contemporaries. This is really solid indie––intelligent lyrics, good arrangements, overall fun, relatively light, enjoyable songs.
5 is the easy winner. FCC 6. RIYL: The M's –Andy

*1 - Sunny, funky pop; very Spoon or even Vampire Weekend; nice punchy bassline
*2 - Emotional folk-rock in the vein of Bright Eyes; piano lends it a sort of honky-tonk anthemic quality
3 - Mellow, lulling, country-rock-infused tune
4 - Breezy indie pop lush with Grizzly-Bear-esque vocal riffs
**5 - Really solid pop composition with a touch of grit on the vox/guitar production, surprise guitar solo
6 - FCC: "shit"; very Arcade Fire––bells, indignation, and all; nice vocal energy
7 - Generic, fairly energetic indie rock
*8 - Dynamic, moody, introspective power pop
*9 - Fun, slightly goofy Beatles-rock
10 - More breezy, sing-along pop
11 - Gritty, bar-rock-meets-Spoon epic
