The hoary old man of folk music … wha?? … follows up his album of folkie sounds with Allison Krauss with an album of slightly heavier folk-tinged rock songs minus Ms. K. Nothing new here if you’re familiar with Plant’s more acoustic leaning work but some nice touches, his generally pleasant voice and phrasing, and a few catchy songs.

1. Churning, chugging rhythm and nice mandolin
2. Bloviated
3. Slow-mo hoedown
4. Slow, ethereal
5. Uptempo, sort of swinging but mostly unnaturally stiff
6. Doo-wop ballad
7. Unmemorable country/folkie tune
8. Slow burn rock ballad – could be U2 except for the vocals
9. Banjo pluckin’, a bit of guitar pickin’, and some Brit-accented singin’
10. Dull midtempo pop song
11. Gospel-tinged tune but not highly committed
12. Straightforward, philosophical, and hummable
