Excellent album from one of the Bay Area's BEST Metal bands covering a wide range of influences and styles. Aggression and ethereal parts, thrashy and doomy bits all of which transition in fine form. Granted this is their most challenging album but it's a GOOD challenge. And REALLY go see them live if you still haven't (whadda ya living under a rock?).

((((((1)))))) Starts slow, nice driving tempo. Both Laurie Sue & Christy's vocals work well in balancing the melodic & aggressive. Great guitar tone as well.
(((((((2))))))) Fast Black Metal to an interesting & awesome - melodic middle with clean vocals and wild soloing. Oh sooo good!
((((((((3))))))) Bombastic & charging! Aesop kills it on the drums. Tons of killer riffs/solos. Really everyone/every instrument comes out very well here.
((((((4)))))) Perfect riffing. Kinda doomy tempo that circles back to the pretty sounding melodic choruses mixed with the aggressive counter main vocals. Love the bass & guitar tone around the 4 min. mark.
(((((((5)))))) Angular riffing and plenty of bass/loud drumming. Very catchy chorus which sounds split between Laurie Sue & Christy plus more fret board burnin’ (done the RIGHT way of course).
(((((((((((6))))))))) Epic! Acoustic intro then fast spiraling riffs. Amazing vocals that work perfectly with the bombast & intense speed. Oh, pick slides, thanks for that, too.
((((((7)))))) Slow intro, more of a rock tempo but still very catchy and varied with riffing sort of like Joy Division or maybe a faster, later-era Swans (but not that obvious of a hint). Nice solos, too.
