Pleasant pop from Tucson Arizona on the vinyl-only label Fort Lowell Records. It breaks free of trappings encountered in a lot of this genre. It doesnt jump out in your face like so many bands/labels do, doesnt rely on loud production hooks or "selling points". Instead it has a subtle complexity, modesty if you will, kinda like locals Upstairs Downstairs. Lovely female vocals, simple instrumentation that ends up pretty. This label is great, keep your ears open. (p.s. Ragnar reviewed this originally, pasted a simple diss on it that was based in his opinion and not so much objectivity. i love ragnar like a brother but on this one i need to say keep your personal opinions out of reviews, if you dont like a cd/record take it up with the MD, dont paste it) | ||
