Sweden’s Dungen are back with an album that despite its bitter title (literally “Fuck All”) delivers a healthy dose of upbeat rock and instrumental experiments. Lovely, nasal male vocals and crunchy guitars with a sense of pop that only the Swedes posses. FCC: Clean Try: 2, 5, 6, 8 1) Instrumental with jazzy feel, cymbals and clarinet (?) 2) * Melodic, nasal male vocals. Piano & strings for the chorus, very Sufjan Stevens 3) Stomping rhythm, breaks into semi-distorted pop. Booming drums and crunchy guitar w/ male/female duet 4) Acoustic guitar with doubled vocals, high tempo. Wah guitar in background. Nice contrasts 5) ** Piano intro, plays up against more booming drums. 3 smaller instrumental tracks within. Solid! 6) * Upbeat, sunny rock. Cute chorus with college-rock guitars. 7) Straight forward, charming rock. 8) * Really cool instrumental piano/handclap/psych guitar action. 9) Folk-ish feel and slow congas. 10) Slow with piano and driving cymbals, climax in chorus | ||
