never really got into these guys, but i always loved the sound of her voice. they've always reminded me of cocteau twins, lush, mbv. atmospheric is the best description.
a definite depressant. a very good one.
SUGGESTIONS: 1, 4, 5, 6, 8, 9&10 together.
FCC CLEAN.
*1. pretty and haunting. subdued and synthy. very euro.
2. discoish, moving pop. menacy synthwork.
3. (mal vox) throbby begin. atmospheric. downer? downer.
*4. BEST TRACK: gorgeous. giant spring git sound. slower than the rest. (i had to play this twice=it's that good. i'm playing it tonight on my fill-in slot, before i slip it under the door=it's that good.)
*5. creepy door opening begin. it's o.k.: dreamy, and that tiny voice of hers... haunting. depeche synths. spiraling end.
*6. ALMOST BEST TRACK: afro beat begin. . dancy. depechy. most poppy song so far.
7. this sounds sad. very churchy feel. (too subdued).
*8. the most lushlike (a lushalike!)
*9. (mal vox) synth tinkery. very depressive. (fem vox kicks in in middle. and back to mal vox. and back to...) is very epic. is...
*10. very epic and romantic stuff. i suggest: play 9&10 together.
