SCOTT AMENDOLA TRIO: Lift Sazi, 2010 POSTMODERN JAZZ – Comfortable in straight-jazz, avant-garde, rock or full-on noise settings, this pared-down version of Bay Area drummer Scott Amendola’s band has been working as a trio for a couple of years, but this is their first release. They keep things pretty accessible, but still manage to blend in most of those styles for a sound like no other group. Common ground for fans of normal and weird jazz.
