Album Review
Rasmus Rygaard
Reviewed 2011-03-26
Happy jangly pop on the British trio’s sophomore album. Think upbeat female vocals, bouncy drums, and guitars with plenty of twang. Stellar release, although I miss some standout tracks. Go for this if you enjoy Los Campesinos, Johnny Foreigner, or any other band that could grace the cover of NME
FCC: Clean
Try: 9, 3, 5

1) 3:04 Upbeat indie rock, lots of cymbals and female vocals.
2) 3:30 Nice guitar/bass interplay, loose live-feel.
3) * 3:46 Love the instrumental intro. Jangly guitars, upbeat interludes
4) 3:58 A lot of energy, but it doesn’t really go anywhere.
5) * 3:43 Darker vibes. I think I hear an organ in there. Bouncy drums.
6) 3:35 Start-stop action, lots of guitars, tons of energy
7) 3:05 8-bit synth and guitar, a touch of vocal effects and handclaps
8) 2:38 Restrained guitars, builds towards the end. Catchy riffs.
9) * 3:54 Starts out slow, neat tambourine and drum playfulness.
10) 3:15 Dramatic vocals and instrumentation.
11) 3:59 Nice breakdowns, relies heavily on the female vocals. Swaying guitars
12) 2:22 Distant guitars and drum machines.
