Low fi guitar bass drums instrumentals from Providence RI weirdoes (I swear theres a vortex in that town of some sort). Guitars ring splendidly and the drums have a certain unstrained passion (girl drummer?). Really, this is living room party band rock for a dreamy go-go dance party in heaven. Reminds me exactly of the band Space Needle from the early 90’s (see library), the joyous low fi element of Neutral Milk Hotel is there, with the simplicity of a Yo La Tengo and driving honesty of Dinosaur Jr, Swell Maps, Dream Syndicate. But the low fi’ness avoids any crappy slickness and makes its so raw it begins to swell. Oh yeah, throw in that old SF band Swell too. All tracks amazing, great. No FCCs.
