instrumental/experimental/jazz fusion/prog
double album.
even more good stuff from cuneiform. merzbow&wolf eyes collaborate. if you like the noise (and i know some of you do.), and if you like the really long tracks ( i know i do), then you'll love this! totally longggg spacy noise rock for...whatever...
RIYL: sonic youth, sujo, algernon, unvers zero (hell, anything on the cuneiform label), merzbow, wolf eyes, fripp/king crimson.
FCC CLEAN=IT'S INSTRUMENTAL!
SUGGESTIONS: 2, 3, 5, 6
DISC 1
1. very soft subtle fade in. goes into the jazz fuzz, kinda funky. has a live feel to it. waves (of static) end subtle, slow, and softening.
*2. again, a very soft, almost inaudible begin. swarmy. sonic youth ala 'goodbye 20th century'. a whole lotta noise! (farting end.)
*3. ALMOST BEST TRACK: again, slowly, silently fading in. buzzing and claustrophobic. it becomes forlorn, then it just goes into the most gorgeous trance. drilling sounds, then a peaceful end, w/ the sounds of seagulls&waves.
DISC 2
4. very fractured, noisy, jarring.
*5. total jazz fusion workout. first half (best) is kinda peaceful. gets heavier as it progresses.
6. BEST TRACK: it's also the shortest, coming in at just over 7min. very peaceful stuff. hypnotic. eno&cluster come to mind.
