1975-79 recordings of avante art rock, proggy material from Euro-heroes. This is extremely cinematic stuff, long tracks that go through many moods and changes. Totally avante, using “chamber” type instruments, sentiments, but rock out in places. From our great friends at the pillar of a label, Cuneiform. For fans of Birdsongs of the Mesozoic/Mission of Burma (who were likely heavily influenced by this) and… aw fuck it: Yes, King Crimson, and Ragnar of Ravensfjord.

1) Long (25 minutes). Very cinematic, creepy: spooky weird dark intro, backwards masking, cymbal squeaking, percussion appears, rhythms come and go, an avante classical feel for sure
2) more melodic and accessible than the previous, but still very orchestrated and avante, with some rockin moments that make it interesting and radio-friendly
3) dark and dramatic, again, lots of changes
4) again, changes and neurosis, theres a cool keyboard solo midway but its subtle
