961-321 Atlas, Natacha Album consists of short & long tracks in English & Arabic interspersed with monologues that sound very philosophical. Lots of piano interludes in various tracks that sets the mood for the tracks. The Arabic pieces work the best in this album. Aside: Apparently the songs in this album were influenced by the works of the Indian poet Rabindranath Tagore. Try 2, 6, 10, 16 1. Slow intro. 2. Languid & dreamy. 3. A philosophic sounding commentary in English. 4. Short. Piano interlude. 5. Piano sets the mood. Slow. Moody. (Arabic) 6. Lilting Arabic melody sung in English. 7. Percussion is what sets the mood in this Arabic piece. Slow, mesmerizing. 8. Moody piano intermixed with vocals. 9. Slow, soft crooning. Almost like a lullaby. 10. Starts with a short monologue & then turns into a slow monotonous sounding piece. 11. Slow, infectious percussion with languid singing in Arabic 12. Sounds like an old-fashioned Arabic song with that old fashioned French overtone. Slow. 13. Another spoken interlude. 14. Slow. A bit on the heavy side. Moody. 15. English monologue. Then it sounds like a Muezzin’s call for evening prayer. 16. Lilting. Great sounding. 17. Short piece that tried to capture the mood of a bazaar or a street corner. 18. Slow. Lingering.
