Indie rock: catchy two-guitar sound with heavy, driven beats. On the testosterone end of the pop scale; good stuff overall. Welsh band. No real *FCC*s, but you might avoid #9.
- Driven rock, lots of crunchy sounds. Catchy but seems like beer-commerical fodder.
- Breezy, jangly, aggressive. Little "woo" sounds in the first verse get annoying, but overall it's a good song.
- Fast guitar pulse
- Midtempo; strong folky rhythm.
- A midtempo, swirling feeling - lower-key and different
- Oooh, spy rock. Cool, but it could do without the booming percussion and heavyhanded reverb.
- Bursty, intense, more chantlike than melodic. I like it.
- Slow/sly but bursts into nice straight guitar rock. *FCC* borderline; he says "CRACKING up" but there's a dicey moment at +1:31. Good song, possibly my favorite here.
- Big and atmospheric after a small start. Kinda wordless.
- Synthy! Like mid/fast '80s dance stuff.
- Band anthem. Actually a nicely choppy, basic rocker, with kind of edgy chords.
