Soft, beautifully warm pop in Spanish, mostly acoustic. Carla Morrison is a Tijuana artist and this album was produced by Mexican pop rocker Natalia Lafourcade (also highly recommended). Similar artists include Julieta Venegas and Lila Downs. FCC Clean. I love the whole album, but start with 1,3,4,6.
†1.Midtempo. Emotional ballad w/soft halting chorus line. Sparse piano notes.
2.Downtempo. Gentle guitar strumming, falsetto voice. Syncopated beat. ~8s.
†3.Downtempo. Soft percussions and chiming lead beat. Interesting layered vocals towards end, kind of tribal feeling.
†4.Midtempo. A lot of cooing and repetition in chorus, with a stronger, apprehensive beat.
5.Downtempo. Simple acoustic ballad with some brass. Picks up towards end.
†6.Downtempo. Gentle guitar strumming and keyboard. Cooing vocals. Beautiful.
7.Midtempo. 4/4 beat, pop ballad with brass. Sounds slightly like the typical ‘bolero’ of Spanish speaking music.
8.Downtempo. Acoustic duet. Soft voices, gentle guitar. Not groundbreaking.
