DJ Muggs Vs.Ill Bill/Kill Devil Hills/Fat Beats
-----------------------------------------------
After listening to this CD and inspecting the artwork the only obvious connection between the album’s title and the town of Kill Devil Hills, North Carolina (the home of aviation) might be the owl on the front cover. On the other hand, this album’s release date did ironically coincide with the evacuation of the coastal community on the same day - due to the coming onslaught of Hurricane Earl. In Hip Hop terms, whenever the elements of nature are present in a rhyme it’s usually a metaphor describing the creation of a rhyme or the overall strength of an M.C. (i.e. an M.C. with the skill to create rhymes equal to those of a hurricane has the power to destroy weaker opponent & their rhymes). It sounds a little like D & D except these are battles waged in reality and not on a board game. DJ Muggs(Cypress Hill) & ILL BILL (NonPhixion/LaCokaNostra) combine forces & shed some light on conspiracy theories, ancient civilizations, criminal thought, extraterrestrials, secret societies, politics, the coming apocalypse & the weather.
