Empowered feminists sing indie pop with a retro feel. Vocals are mixed in very faintly, wind instruments usually take center stage. Lyrics usually include references to sex, but no discernible FCCs. Try 2,3.
1. 4:44 Midtempo groovy pop, wind instruments. Fuzzy vocals. I’m pretty sure she’s singing about faking orgasms. Good drum outro.
†2. 4:10 Awesome syncopated bass line, apprehensive sound effects reminiscent of 80’s pop parallel a 60s driving guitar riff w/falsettos.
†3. 4:17 Wind instruments and soft female vocals: 50s vibe, except there’s a synth line and she’s singing about ‘sexy times’. Kinda cute.
4. 3:56 Back to the 80s. A lot of synths, dramatic guitar lines, beatboxing, and bass/wind solos.
5. 3:59 A lot of wind, driving guitar riff—very 80’s. Brassy and coy.
6. 3.16 Instrumental. Retro winds, kinda tribal.
