Garage rock with country/western influences, catchy and memorable hooks that will get you through (or prepare you to have) a hangover. Tough, raw psychobilly guitar jingle-jangles over some pop-rock songs with laid-back front porch charm. The condensed, endearing pop narratives are reminiscent of Tom Petty, particularly in the vocals. Layers of acoustic guitar, occasional dobro and fiddle give the record a delightful spin, firmly rooting it in a country influence but within a rock framework. Crank to this in your call while watching the sunrise after a breakup, or when you’re with someone that you’ll probably break up with eventually.

1. The hootin’ country stomp starts here. Upbeat generally, but a more melancholy bridge, memorable fiddle/steel guitar bridge.
2. Perfect driving music, careen down the highway and sing along! First song with vocal harmonies, song reeks of Tom Petty influence (in a good way). HIGHLIGHT
3. Somber drinking ballad, slow and partially acoustic.
4. Stompin’ and drawlin’ honky-rock-tonk; it’s about being in a bar and it sounds like it too. HIGHLIGHT
5. Probably the throwaway track; really repetitive riff and not very melodic vocals, and an even more boring bridge.
6. Hey, banjo! Also a melancholy, drinking-song vibe.
7. More of a clonkin, goofy number here.
8. Struts along like a cowboy walking into a standoff (or riding off into the sunset) in slow motion. “Will you comfort me tonight—and make the pain go?” Organ adds sentimentality.
9. A twangin’ hillbilly breakup rocker.
10. Rockin’ track, delightfully sarcastic and upbeat.
11. A sentimental 3/4homage to a shitty place in Mexico. I guess these guys had a rough time in a cantina.
