Hooray for some good punk on the shelf. Released on Alternative Tentacles, the people who gave you Dead Kennedys. I really enjoyed this one, after some of the other “punk” albums I’ve seen wandering the review shelf and A-file. It did all start to blend together eventually on this album though. Surprisingly no FCC’s! Try out 3 and 4.

1. Quick tempo and cool riff. Rough, throaty vocals with lighter harmonies. Chorus beats you over the head with power chords, noodly guitar solos blend into the noise.
2. Has a good tempo but feels more deliberate. Chords stick to your ribs, but the song ends too quickly to really develop anything.
3.* Clean guitar intro leads into cool chord progression that will set the tone for the rest of the song. Slower but nice and mysteriously chill. If you mixed Lemmy’s voice with the average human being, you might get these vocals.
4.* Starts with a call-and response chant, adds heavy drums and thick guitars. All of a sudden takes to much faster punk sound. I almost wish the beginning idea had continued though.
5. Crazier tempos going on here, but overall slower. Gradual transition into something different but almost the same.
