A four-piece (two women, two men) out of Salt Lake City. It’s folksy and poppy. Reminiscent of The Ditty Bops. The women share the vocals, many songs have one backing the other. Acoustic guitar, bass, cello, etc. instrumentation. No FCC’s.
*My Favorites*: 2, 4, 5, 7, 12.
1. (2:30) Mid. Slightly Eastern flair, mellow mood, cool bass lines. Easy vocal delivery.
2. *(4:02) Slow / Mid. Really folksy. Handclaps, plodding beat. A bit carnivalistic. Fun.
3. (3:44) Slow / Mid. String intro featuring cello. Sparse and methodical. Slow and careful vocal delivery. String heavy.
4. *(3:28) Mid. Ethereal and dreamy. Lyrics playful with language. Cool and mellow.
5. *(3:25) Mid. Fingersnaps and strummed guitar. Great cello. Great harmonizing.
6. (3:11) Mid. Eerie Halloween song. Windy vocals and instrumentals.
7. *(2:11) Mid. It’s an amalgam of European sounds. Kick ass.
8. (3:28) Mid. It’s an adult song wrapped inside a kids song. Cool.
9. (1:38) Mid. A playfully serious song. The song is nothing like The Smiths’ ‘Girlfriend In A Coma’, except at the very end.
10. (2:04) Mid. Easy-going folksy song.
11. (4:23) Slow / Mid. Guitar, bass predominate. Mellow. Great cello interludes.
12. *(4:38) Slow / Mid. Song about a troubled relationship, then turning upbeat. Slight country flair.
13. (3:27) Mid. Dreamy and peppy. Cool end-song.
