Album Review
Your Imaginary Friend
Reviewed 2011-03-21
One woman studio project from Sacramento. Fuzzy and loopy and trippy, tasteful use of distortion and noise guitar, echoey bass and synths. Little use of vocals besides subtle instrumentation. Last track is more songlike with drums and you get the feeling this girl should have a whole band, and that this four track “4-track” CD has a demo feel about it. For fans of My Bloody Valentine, Wendy Atkinson.

1) loopy guitar melody over feedback and echo symposium
2) big electric bass, fuzzy guits, buried vocalizations
3) big and dreamy, a slight MBV/Kevin Shields tone with airy vocs
4) songlike w/drums, dream rock goings ons w/ buried vocs
