Reminds me of early Sam Phillips, and The Shins; dark, introspective shimmering pop-rock. Mournful, lots of bass and bells. Try 1, 3. FCC Clean
†1. 4:15 Breathy falsetto vocals, opens with what sounds like a broken recorder. Dark and introspective, some moments of sunshine are trampled by ominous keyboard line and mounting strings at end.
2. 4:00 Bell twinkling opens track, sounds like something off of the Broken Bells album. Relaxed vocals, jaunty acoustic guitar line. Cello line in background, audible in darker moments, builds at end.
†3. 3:32 Bluesy guitar, shifty electro soundscape, double tracked falsetto line, sighing and light shimmering pop towards end.
4. 4:01 Halting falsetto vocals, ominous keyboard organ line. Deep bass on percussions layered in with subdued, pulsating synth line. Mournful.
