Malian kora (21-strings, is a cross between a harp and a lute) player Ballaké Sissoko and French cellist Vincent Segal make 'classical' chamber music but influenced by Jazz & African rhythms. All tracks are very good. 1: 5:33 slow, GREAT kora picking with nice bowed cello 2: 5:44 mid to faster soaring cello with cool plucking on the kora with bolon (4 string gourd harp/lute) 3: 8:54 slow, tense, with ngoni (plucked lute) & balafon ( vibraphone) ****4: 5:53 fast cool kora trance jam 5: 5:33 slow ***6: 5:14 fast wall of sound 7: 3:47 female spoken word intro then kora with cello drone & fem vocal, mid tempo 8: 5:10 mid tempo with fast kora plucking, cello picks up midway, with bolon 9: 3:17 slow cello bowing drone with fast & slow kora picking 10: 6:06 slow cello with mid tempo kora with bolon, long slow fade at end.
