Album Review
Your Imaginary Friend
Reviewed 2011-09-07
Big epic UK indie dreamy electro pop feel (to me at least), brings to mind bands like Clearlake, New Order, Heaven 17, Pulp, or more dreamier stuff. Still, Michael Jackson’esque soul-disco rears its head at least once here as well as just plain undeniable electro pop. Guitar bass keys drums embellished with electrobeats and dreamy production. Some tracks instrumental, others joined by dreamy male vocs. Good stuff.

1) (2:54) dreamy electrotinged rock, instrumental
2) (3:40) pleasant chill and subtley dissonant with a straightforward hooky chorus
3) (3:04) big electro beat feel, euro-80’s pop feel almost
4) (3:39) big epic feel, though its down tempo
5) (2:57) instrumental (mostly, aside from vocoded chorus line), lots of electro beats and sounds
6) (4:20) full on 80’s Michael Jackson soul-pop disco
7) (2:54) cool guitar and beat mixed together, upbeat and peppy pop, nice
8) (3:45) electropop, catchy and upbeat
9) (3:14) slower more epic pop feel
