Billiam Wutler Yea, a Moscow-based experimental artist, zaps us with a 10-song journey through overgain microphones, crunchy reverb and gently manipulated chillwave samples. The first 9 tracks document the slow evolution of the base sample, and can essentially be thought of as the same movement. The last track is a 20+ min buzzerbeater of brain-spanking WTF noise.

ALL TRACKS FCC CLEAN

*1. A gentle intergalactic transmission. Hella distorted keyboards create a nice “aquatic” vibe that is grounded somewhat by the 20 seconds of sampled gibberish vocals at the end. 2. Dense muddy noise. But at the same time, quite nice. Lots of static and crunchy gain. *3. A return to the original track. This one is brighter somewhat, with a more lustrous texture. 4. Track 3 continued…
5. Slowly melts into a more traditional song structure—with a few looped campfire song guitar samples. 6. The guitar samples slowly fights to the forefront, but gets sucked into a vacuum of dark noise. *7. An entirely new movement—tropical almost, with blown-out drums. 8. Gentle and free-spirited. The calm before the storm. 9. Ecochamber vocals and a strong blast of noise transitions into a beautiful gentle acoustic instrumental. 10. Harsh 21-minute noise freakout. This is probably what it sounds inside your computer when it breaks. RIYL: Getting sucked into space, getting blasted through a cheese grater.
